The National Indian Policy Center
The National Indian Policy Center, established by Congress to provide information
services on a wide range of policy issues, serves as a vital link to the Native American community.
The Center identifies information not readily available to tribes, monitors emerging policy issues
in the Congress, operates an electronic database that is accessible to Internet users, and sponsors
forums and research. The Institute for Equity and Excellence in Education draws on the Center's
resources to help educators address the special needs of Indian children in the region.
