The Center for Curriculum, Standards and Technology (ICST) at George
Washington
University is dedicated to developing and supporting leadership efforts in the public and private
sectors that are designed to ensure high standards and quality educational opportunities for all
children. ICST works with teachers, administrators, community leaders, including key
educational policy makers, to develop programs and policies leading to educational reform. Since
its inception in 1992, ICST has focused on reforms and research activities in the area of
curriculum standards, national teacher certification, teachers' professional development, as well as
training teachers to be leaders of educational reform. ICST uses technology as a means of
teaching, learning, communicating and networking.
