On 5 December 2008, CLAI and The Strategic Studies Institute of the US Army War College jointly hosted a colloquium focusing on the diminishing influence of the United States in the Latin American region and the attendant growth of Russian, Chinese, and Iranian presences in the Western Hemisphere (see link to Agenda below). The expert panel (see link to biographies below) provided keen insights into the various forms of emerging threats to U.S. national security. The colloquium concluded with a dialogue with the audience.
