JOHN DAVIES-COLE, PhD, MPH
Dr. Davies-Cole has over 20 years experience in teaching, facilitating health-related training programs, and disease control. He has 15 years experience in international health. His has been involved in a variety of projects focusing on control of vector-borne diseases, designing training courses on water and environmental sanitation, project management, and evaluation. He has also been involved in consultations for the World Bank, UNICEF, WHO, and the Danish Development Agency.
At the George Washington University, Dr. Davies-Cole teaches courses on disease control and environmental health. He has been a guest lecturer both in the US and internationally speaking on topics ranging from community participation in health to integrated management of vector-borne diseases.
Dr. Davies-Cole has received numerous awards for his work and research. Some of his more recently published work can be found in MMWR Weekly Report and the Annuals of Epidemiology.
