RESEARCH
ASSOCIATE
The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) Clearinghouse on Higher
Education, the nation's central source of information on higher education,
seeks a full-time (40 hr./week) Research Associate to join its staff of five
professionals. The Clearinghouse develops a variety of reports on important
higher education topics and disseminates information through an extensive
website, a sophisticated information database, workshops, and other information
services.
The
major responsibilities of the Research Associate include:
1. Researching the ERIC literature database and writing reports and bibliographic
reviews to be published by ERIC and/or posted on its website.
2. Coordinating manuscript development, review, and scheduling of ASHE- ERIC
Reports, ERIC Digests, and other products.
3. Working with associations and research centers to promote use of ERIC
services and disseminate project materials.
4. Providing administrative and budgetary support for a small office.
Qualifications:
The
minimum degree required for this position is a Bachelor's degree in an
appropriate subject and two or three years of experience relevant to the
position duties, or a Master's degree and one year of relevant experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. The ideal
candidate will also have excellent organizational skills and must be detail-oriented.
Experience with MS Office is desired.
Salary and Benefits: Salary is low to upper 30s, depending upon skills and

ASSISTANT
DIRECTOR OFFICE OF DISABILITY SERVICES
The University of Tennessee s Division of Student Affairs invites applications
and nominations for the position of Assistant Director of Disability Services.
The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Disability Services and has
responsibility for assisting with the management of the office and personnel
within the Office of Disability Services.
The Office of Disability Services is a unit within the Dean of Students
Department and is responsible for recommending reasonable accommodations for
students, faculty and staff with disabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the
Director with managing accommodationservices;
supervising professional staff; budget administration and program evaluation.
Perform student intakes; review student documentation; work with faculty and
staff to ensure recommended accommodations are properly executed; work with
campus ADA monitor; grant writing; database maintenance; and work closely with
Disability Careers Project.
REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS: Master s degree from an accredited college or university;
thorough knowledge of Federal and State statutes and regulations applicable to
students with disabilities in higher education; excellent oral, written and
interpersonal skills; excellent organizational skills; strong supervisory
skills and experience are required.
DESIRED
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of psychological disabilities, assistive technology,
and grant writing are desired.
SALARY: $38,000 TO $42,000, commensurate with experience and othe qualifications.

SUMMER
COUNSELING POSITION with the JOHNS
We are seeking experienced counselors to work with
gifted students ages 8-16.
WHAT
The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth offers summer academic
enrichment programs to gifted and talented students.
Our programs are residential and are held on college campuses in the northeast
Academic Counselor delivers counseling services to the student population and
advises the academic and residential staff members. He or she also coordinates
efforts to serve students with disabilities.

The Position: The Texas Tech Health Science Center invites nominations and applications

Department of Rehabilitation Sciences within the

Appointment and Salary:
This position is a 12-month, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant
Professor rank. The salary will be commensurate with experience and background.

The Rehabilitation Counseling Program is located with in the
American Psychological Association. The Counseling area of study offers a
master's degree in school counseling as well as community/agency counseling.
Qualifications: Completed
doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling or related field and hold a Certified

demonstrated experience in distance education including online multimedia
