Welcome! If you are interested in making an appointment for the CCSC in Washington, DC contact Monica Megivern at (202)994-8645. If you are interested in making an appointment in Alexandria, VA contact Elaine Rhymers at (703)299-9148. Both CCSC coordinators will be happy to assist you in answering questions or providing an initial screening for services. The initial screening takes approximately 10 minutes on the telephone before being contacted by your counselor. Clients are typically seen 1 week after your initial phone call.
Washington, DC CCS hours are 10am to 8pm Monday-Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Friday.
Alexandria, VA CCS hours are 9am to 10pm Monday-Thursday, Friday 9am to 5:30pm and Saturday 9am to 6pm.
The CCSC does not accept insurance, therefore we are able to offer our services at a reduced cost. Our current fee begins at $28.00 per individual session, but slides down, depending on income.
Supervision
Counselor Interns are supervised by
doctoral students who are completing their doctoral studies in Counseling.
Supervisors are experienced counselors in community, rehabilitation or school
counseling.
Supervision is conducted by video or audio-taping sessions at the
Community Counseling Services. All materials are kept strictly confidential and
meet legal and ethical standards for record storage.
