Graduate Degree Programs

If you want to further expand your knowledge by earning a graduate degree, CEPL can collaborate with a sponsoring agency to create a customized degree program. With University approval, you can earn your degree through The George Washington University College of Professional Studies. CEPL is also closely affiliated with the University’s Graduate School of Political Management and the School of Public Policy and Public Administration.

The Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) is the country’s first professional school for politics, created to further the practice of democratic politics. As the political process continues to evolve with the advent of new technologies and practices, political management demands training that is both specialized and professional.

The GSPM’s Master of Arts in Political Management goes beyond running campaigns and elections. The program offers academic concentrations in eight areas, including lobbying, government relations, and fundraising.

The School of Public Policy and Public Administration (SPPPA) is one of the nation’s leading schools of public policy, public affairs, and public administration, according to US News and World Report. The School offers both Master’s degrees in Public Policy and Public Administration and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration.

The Master’s programs in both Public Policy and Public Administration offer a strong foundation in research methods and policy analysis. However, the Master’s degree in Public Policy emphasizes statistics, economics, and policy analysis, while the Master’s degree in Public Administration stresses management topics.

The Ph.D. program in Public Policy and Administration develops a range of competencies needed to undertake research in public policy and public administration.
