Introduction to the Senior Leader Program The Senior Leader Program prepares candidates for the Senior Executive Service (SES). This open-enrollment program is designed around the Office of Personnel Management Executive Core Qualifications (training requirements) and meets the U.S. Office of Personnel Management requirement that participants in agency-specific candidate development programs have an 80-hour interagency training experience. Since its inception in 1982, the SLP has served thousands of managers and executives from more than 80 government agencies and departments.
