Center Personnel Jim Robinson Jim Robinson is the Executive Director of The George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership. He is a senior executive and change leader with more than 25 years of experience in leading large-scale organization change, strategic human resources development, and organization effectiveness, consulting with corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Mr. Robinson’s work has focused on the development of empowering leaders and the building of high commitment/high performance organizations that achieve outstanding results. Mr. Robinson writes, lectures, and leads workshops in the field of personal self-empowerment and personal effectiveness. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and a Master of Arts in counseling psychology from Rutgers University. Email: jarob@gwu.edu Natalie K. Houghtby-Haddon, D.Min., is the Associate Director of The George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership and an Adjunct Instructor in Public Administration. She is the Program Manager for the Center’s DISA Executive Leadership Development Program. Her other work for the Center includes fund development, Center operations, curriculum development, and teaching. The Center’s emphasis on leadership development is a natural extension of the leadership development work she has done throughout her career. Prior to her appointment with CEPL, Dr. Houghtby-Haddon served as both Interim Executive Director and faculty member for the Institute for Community Leadership in Los Angeles, CA, a collaborative effort of the LA County Department of Health Services, the UCLA School of Public Health, the University of La Verne, and the Immaculate Heart College Center, where she was President. She has also served as an adjunct faculty member in the Urban Ministries Program of the Claremont School of Theology in Claremont, CA. Dr. Houghtby-Haddon holds her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Boston University and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from the Claremont School of Theology. She is currently a doctoral student in The George Washington University’s Program in Human Sciences, where her research interests focus on the creation of healthy, just, and sustainable communities through the expansion of leadership and management capacity in community organizations.
