NEW BOOKS

Samuel Walker's new book The Rights Revolution is largely dedicated to criticism of new or responsive communitarians, i.e. of us. In the first two thirds of the book Walker makes several telling points, but in the last third he openly demonizes communitarians.

A Place for Us, the new book by Benjamin Barber, makes a strong case for the civil society with his typical fervor. E. J. Dionne is hosting a launch event at The Brookings Institution on Thursday, February 11, at 10:00 AM. To RSVP, contact Staci Simmons at (202) 797-6405.

INTERNATIONAL

A communitarian movement is being organized in Spain by Jose Perez Adan, a professor of sociology at the University of Valencia. He can be reached at jose.perez@uv.es for more information.

ARTICLES WANTED

They are particularly seeking a communitarian approach to the increasing demand for psychologists and psychological support. Send submissions and/or inquiries via e-mail to Professor Legall at Legall@criuc.unicaen.fr. Visit the journal at http://www.internationalscope.com.
