European Leaders Take Notice of Communitarianism, For Better or For Worse
President Martti Ahtisaari of Finland recently held a private meeting in his home with Dr. Amitai Etzioni to discuss communitarian principles. Ahtisaari is a longtime proponent of communitarianism.

Former Czech Prime Minister Vaclav Klaus was critical of communitarians, comparing them to collectivists. Klaus said that communitarians advance, "empty, false concepts," such as devolution.
