As always, we use this event to recognize our top research
students through the prestigious Grants in Aid of Research Program
(flyer below). Please join us to congratulate these young scientists
and engineers, as well as enjoy a great meal and fascinating lecture.
This year's speaker is Mr. Richard Katskee- Assistant Leagal Director
at Americans United for the Separation
of Church and State.

The George Washington
University Chapter of Sigma XiMr. Katskee was one of the principal attorneys for the plaintiffs in Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District, No. 04-CV- 2688 (M.D. Pa.), the case successfully challenging a Pennsylvania school district's inclusion of intelligent-design creationism in its ninth-grade biology curriculum. He provides a compelling and captivating account of the issues leading up to and during the trial.
