GW, Sodexho Ink 10-Year Contract
for Campus Dining
Quiznos, Pandini’s, and
Cyclone Salads are among
the new venues opening
in J Street. |
A voluntary dining program,
a new restaurant
on the Marvin Center’s
fifth floor, and a host of new
venues in J Street are among
the enhancements to GW’s
Dining Program.
Under the terms of a 10-
year contract, Sodexho, Inc.,
assumed full management and
operational responsibility for
GW Dining operations effective
June 1. Headquartered in
Gaithersburg, Md., Sodexho
is the leading provider of food
and facilities management in
the United States, Canada,
and Mexico.
“GW strives to provide
students with a variety of
options and freedom of choice
in dining, and Sodexho’s
robust retail operation is a
good fit for the GW dining
model,” says Louis Katz,
GW executive vice president
and treasurer.
One significant new
option for students is a voluntary
dining plan.
Under the
plan, participating students
pay one price for either 50 or
100 meals at the J Street Cafe,
a new all-you-can-eat venue
located on the first floor of
the Marvin Center.
WOW Cafe and Wingery
will open on the Marvin
Center fifth floor. The
Southwestern-themed
restaurant’s offerings include
wraps, salads, hamburgers,
fajitas, and wings. WOW
also will feature sports and
other entertainment on
high-definition televisions
through DIRECTV and on
XM Satellite Radio.
Other new Marvin
Center venues include:
- A new coffee, tea, and
specialty drink venue;
- District Market;
- Chick Fil-A;
- Quiznos;
- Pandini’s; and
- Cyclone Salads.
Along with the new
Sodexho dining concepts,
the University’s GWorld
Colonial Cash Dining
Program will continue to
offer students more than 80
on-campus and in-the-city
dining partners.
