Korjus Named Executive Director of GW’s Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning

GW’s Office of Academic Affairs is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Korjus as executive director of the University’s Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL). Following in the tradition of the University Teaching Center, the CITL’s main objectives are to promote and facilitate excellence in teaching and learning among GW faculty.

“GW recognizes the importance of providing faculty with tools to facilitate and encourage development in research and teaching, which in turn enhances the learning experience for students,” said Donald R. Lehman, executive vice president for academic affairs. Korjus comes to GW from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) where she served as director for Faculty Leadership Education. Prior to joining the AAMC, she was a visiting assistant professor in GW’s School of Public Health and Health Services (SPHHS). While on the SPHHS faculty, Korjus served on the task force that developed the new University Writing Program and co-chaired the Writing in the Disciplines subcommittee.
