Entman Named New J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Professor

Robert M. Entman will join GW’s School of Media and Public Affairs (SMPA) as a J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Professor in January 2006.

“We are delighted that Robert Entman is joining the faculty of the School of Media and Public Affairs,” said Steven Livingston, SMPA interim director. “He is one of the top media and politics scholars in the world today and his presence underscores the University’s commitment to research and teaching excellence.”

Entman added, “I am honored to be joining the SMPA’s outstanding faculty. I look forward to participating in the school’s further development as one of the world’s premier centers for research and teaching in journalism and political communication.”
