Former SBPM Adjunct Heads DC Operations
DC Mayor Anthony Williams named Herbert Tillery,
executive director for the Center for Excellence in Municipal Management
and adjunct assistant professor of public administration, SBPM, to the
position of deputy mayor for operations.
Herb Tillerys extensive experience in senior executive level
human resource management and development, along with his solid organizational
skills and his reputation for innovation and vision, make him extremely
well-qualified for this position, says Williams in a news release.
As deputy mayor, Tillery will provide leadership and direction in the
management of the following agencies: Motor Vehicles, Public Works,
Transportation, Procurement, Personnel, and Property Management. He
also will coordinate technology issues across the government with the
city administrator and oversee the Operational Improvements Division.
