Seniors Selected as Presidential Administrative Fellows
Seven GW seniors have been
selected to serve as Presidential Administrative Fellows beginning in
the fall. The seven designees were chosen for the two-year program based
on their academics, extracurricular contributions, and their potential
to further contribute to the University and the community, as well as
in their fields.
Lindsey Davidson, a stand-out on GWs womens basketball team
for four years, will graduate from the School of Business and Public
Management with a double concentration in human resources management
and small business management and a minor in sociology. She looks forward
to pursuing a masters in business administration.
Jeremiah Davis will bring his passion for the outdoors to the GW Trails
recreation program. He will receive a BA in English, and will pursue
a masters degree in public health before applying to medical schools.
Pascale Doumit will earn a BS in electrical engineering, and is planning
to pursue her masters degree in the same field with a concentration
on communications. As an undergraduate, Doumit presided over three engineering
student groups: the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers,
the Society of Women Engineers, and Tau Beta Pi, the National Engineering
Honor Society.
Brett Kaplan is completing his bachelors degree in electronic
media and political science with a minor in history. He currently serves
as the general manager of WRGW, the campus radio station. His credits
include broadcasting the mens and womens basketball games,
as well as games for the double A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles,
the Bowie Baysox.
Ghessycka Lucien will earn her BA from the Elliott School of International
Affairs with a double major in international affairs with a concentration
in international politics and French language and literature. Lucien
was a member of the 2001 Colonial Cabinet, is currently a student admissions
representative, and has served as a member of the Senior Interview Program
where she assisted the admissions directors interviewing prospective
GW students. Lucien intends to take the Foreign Service Exam and enter
the State Department as a foreign service officer.
Tom Shannon graduates with a BS with special honors in biology and is
an inductee into Phi Beta Kappa. He will be completing a masters
degree in public health with a concentration in epidemiology and then
hopes to move on to medical school. Shannon is a member of GWs
crew team, as well as a volunteer fireman.
Michael J. Trask will graduate with a BA in history and a minor in sociology.
He was an active member in the Organization of Latino American Students,
serving as the groups first president. Trask served as program
assistant to the Latino outreach coordinator with the Multicultural
Student Services Center. He plans to pursue an MA in higher education.
