Internet Payment Mechanisms
Net Commerce
Payment - Net.Commerce Payment is a complete solution for handling
credit card transactions securely over the Internet. IBM offers software
and services for the consumer, merchant, and acquiring banks (credit card
processors) based on the globally accepted SET standard.
Checkfree - Checkfree also provides
consumers with wallets for making secure credit card purchases. (Wallet
is free)
Mondex - Mondex's position on commerce
and info on their smart card technology. Mondex was primarily designed
as an alternative means of payment to cash in the physical market place,
it can also offer the Internet user a payment option that meets these needs
in the virtual marketplace.
Mondex USA - Consortium of American
companies adopting the Mondex standard for development of Smart Card technology
her in the U.S.
InfoDial - home of CashierTM
and Internet Checks. CashierTM is InfoDial's Electronic Commerce System
that allows you to combine shopping carts with transaction processing .
Visitors to your website can fill up their virtual baskets with goods from
your site, and buy them directly online, via credit card or by check. The
order is received by you via email, and you can then send the customer
their purchase. The customer can check the status of his order online,
and the system lets both you and him know whether or not the transaction
was approved.
Internet$ - The Internet Dollar
is a new tool for paying for things on the Web. Not many vendors signed
up yet so, be careful.
Cybercash - Cybercash provides consumer
with wallets for secure credit card purchasing over the Internet. They
also provide merchants with the software they need to accept Cybercash
payments.
First Virtual - First
Virtual's e-mail payment system conducts the transaction entirely off-line.
They charge a consumers credit cards off line, after the consumer confirms
a purchase via e-mail.
Mini-Pay
- IBM's micropayment technology. MiniPay is a set of modules and protocols
which implement a complete and secure payment solution for `pay cent per
click' applications. Here you can find The

NetBill - A dependable, secure
and economical payment method for purchasing digital goods and services
through the Internet. Developed by the folks at Carnegie Mellon. NetBill

- Digital's micro payment designed for purchases costing fractions of a
cent. Millicent (patent pending) is a lightweight and secure protocol for
electronic commerce over the Internet. As a microcommerce system, Millicent
is designed to support purchases costing fractions of a cent.
Digicash's Ecash
- Information about Digicash's E-cash, an electronic form of money. E-cash
is currently in a trial period and under evaluation.
NetChex - Internet
check payment system, an extension of your traditional checking account.
