In Memoriam

Professor John Frederick Sencindiver passed away on July 7, 2004. Fred was an assistant professor of management science, teaching in GW's MSIST and EMIS programs. He also was a GW School of Business alumnus. He graduated with an MS in 1993 and earned his PhD with concentrations in information systems and organizational behavior in 2001.

As a student at GWSB, Fred developed strong relationships with faculty members that only strengthened when he joined our faculty. He also served as a doctoral-student advisor and mentor. He was highly regarded by students for his ability to make complex concepts from the information systems fields understandable. Fred, a gentle and soft-spoken person, was well-liked by faculty and staff.

Fred is survived by his wife, Sharon, and two sons. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 11, at 3 p.m. at Vienna Presbyterian Church, 124 Park Street, NE, Vienna, Va.
