What We Do
The mission of CASB is to strengthen the Metro area's small business community by providing hands-on tactical assistance to entrepreneurs on their most urgent needs. We accomplish this through student consulting teams and specialized research projects. Additionally, we engage in global outreach projects

How We Support The E/SB Program
The Council for the Advancement of Small Business brings together a network of small and emerging businesses - many of whom have been recent winners or finalists for "Entrepreneur of the Year" awards. These businesses and individuals are linked up with student teams, class speaking events, and other various resources that the Entrepreneurship Program at GWU has. The result is a win-win for students who gain hands-on experience and businesses that get help with specific issues or get outside perspectives on their business. CASB is truly intertwined with the Entrepreneurship Program at GWU. Whereas the Entrepreneurship Program's overall aim is to serve students, CASB is more focused on the small businesses and individuals. Thus, CASB and the Entrepreneurship Program go hand in hand.
