Master's Degree

Each Master's degree program includes course work and may include a thesis, and is designed by the student in consultation with a departmental adviser. Please note that Graduate Teaching Assistantships are not available to M.S. students

The masters degree with thesis requires:

  • Twenty-four credit hours
  • Thesis (6 credits) based on original research
  • Satisfactory completion of final comprehensive examination

The non-thesis masters degree requires:

  • Thirty-six credit hours
  • Satisfactory completion of final comprehensive examination
