Lisner Hall location

Lisner Hall can be reached easily using the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority's Metro System, from the Foggy Bottom or Farragut West stations on the Orange and Blue lines or the Farragut North station on the Red line. The Metro operates until midnight and opens weekdays at 5:30 A.M. and weekends at 8:00 A.M., with the wait between trains only a few minutes during peak hours but up to 20 minutes during off-peak hours. A very limited amount of street parking is available near Lisner Hall, and parking facilities are available nearby for a moderate fee. Follow this link to view reports on local traffic conditions.

The Metro connects GW to the main air and train terminals in the DC area. From Ronald Reagan National Airport take the Blue Line to the Foggy Bottom station (approximately 17 minutes travel time station to station). From Dulles Airport take a Washington Flyer bus (operates half hourly, travel time about 25 minutes) to the West Falls Church station on the Orange Line and from there to the Foggy Bottom station (approximately 18 minutes travel time on Metro). From Baltimore-Washington International Airport take a shuttle to the train station and a MARC or Amtrak train to Union Station in Washington (travel time is about half an hour), and from there take the Red Line to Farragut North (6 minutes travel time on Metro). Lisner Hall is several blocks from the Metro stations, and if carrying luggage you may wish to use a taxi or the Supershuttle (information available at airport web sites). Taxi fares to GW from Union Station are usually less than $10, from National Airport are usually less than $20, and from Dulles and BWI Airports are usually $40-50.
