Matt Ryan pitching in the first game of the season which he won 5-0.   Durham, NC-GW Club Baseball got off to a successful start this fall with a series split with Duke University.  GW won the 1st game 5-0 behind the shutout pitching of Matt Ryan and Tom Siek..  The 2nd game of the day saw GW play sloppy and blow a few early leads.  Going into the 7th down by 3, GW came back to make it close and the game ended with the tying runner on 3rd Base.  Shane Briones led the way offensively for GW and tied the club record with 4 hits in just his first game.   Left:Brett Kaplan batting in Game 1 vs. Duke Right: Tom Gooding making his first collegiate pitching appearance in Game 2 vs. Duke
