Alfred Korzybski was born in 1879. He attended the Warsaw Gymnasium as well as the Warsaw Polytechnic Institute. He also did graduate work in the United States, Italy, and Germany. Various teaching positions he held were in the fields of physics, French, German, and mathematics. Korzybski has extensive experience in military operations including serving with the Polish cavalry, and recruiting for the Polish Army. After lecturing extensively and publishing many of his ideas, Korzybski passed away in 1950.
