Slow Wave comes to DC!
Monday, October 6
3:00 - 4:30 pm

Join artist and cartoonist Jesse Reklaw for a hands-on workshop on the art of cartooning. Reklaw's comic, Slow Wave, is a collective dream diary; every week he illustrates one of the hundreds of dreams people submit to him, transforming it into a four-panel comic. In this workshop, you'll learn to think about the difference between verbal and visual story-telling as you work on illustrating someone else's dream.

Participation is limited to 20 students. Interested applicants should submit the following:
Your name, your email address, the name of your UW20 professor, a 100-200 word description of a dream you've had (recent or childhood), and a 50-100 word paragraph explaining why you want to attend.

Drop off your application letter for Prof. Schell at Rome 555, or submit it to your UW20 professor. Applications must be submitted by Sept. 30.
