visited Chelsea, Brooklyn, and several uptown museums where they viewed a range of exhibitions including: Joseph Kosuth, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Bosman, Joel-Peter Witkin, Dawn Clements, Carroll Dunham, Stan Douglas, David Wojnarowicz, Carolee Schneemann, Kehinde Wiley, John Singer Sargent, and the Aztec Empire

The museum welcomes Olafur Eliasson to speak about his work, for the first in this annual lecture series devoted to bringing major figures in contemporary art from around the world to Washington, DC. Eliasson's Reykjavik series, 2003 is currently on view on the Hirshhorn's third floor. Gustave and Marion Ring Auditorium.

An LA artist, Mark Bradford received his BFA and MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. His recent solo shows include: Very Powerful Lords at the Whitney at Philip Morris (NYC) and Caught Up at Suzanne Vielmetter Lost Angeles Projects (LA). Recent group shows include: Bounce at REDCAT (LA), ARCO 2003 (Madrid), Lean To at Real Art Ways (Hartford, CT), Mirror Image at UCLA Hammer Museum (curated by Russell Ferguson), and Freestyle at the Studio Museum in Harlem (NYC).
