Dr. Viechnicki is a linguist specializing in classroom communication.
Research
Dr. Viechnicki is particularly concerned with the linguistics of evidence, authority, and epistemic judgements. As a postdoctoral fellow at GW, she has studied interactions in science classrooms related to identifying and evaluating evidence.

Application of linguistic analysis to scientific discourse and science instruction.
