Dr. Schneider is an ethnographer who studies faith communities and non-profit organizations, disabilities, poverty, and welfare reform.

Research

Dr. Schneider is the principal invesigator for the Faith and Organizations Project, a research/practice initiative exploring the connections between faith communities and the non-profit organizations they create. It is based at the University of Maryland-College Park. A second project, Understanding Hispanic Maryland, is in development
