Dr. Nambiar is a cultural anthropologist with a special interest in rural development and in human rights and ethics. He has worked in South Asia, West Africa, and the U.S.

Research

Dr. Nambiar is writing an ethnography on a fishing community in Maine entitled: "A Down East Fishing Community: The Processes of Transformation." He is also developing a new study of possession ritual and cultural change in Kerala, India.
