YOUNG ALUMNI NETWORK

The Young Alumni Network (YAN) sponsors programming and provides benefits designed to meet the social, networking, and educational needs and interests of graduates from the past 5 years.

How Do I Join YAN?
If you graduated from GW in the past 5 years, then you are automatically a part of the network—it's free for alumni, so be sure to take advantage of these exciting events!

YAN EVENTS
YAN currently sponsors programming for recent graduates in the Washington, D.C. and New York metro areas. Take advantage of several unique programs, including:
  • Networking receptions and happy hours
  • Community service projects
  • Financial seminars
  • Young alumni reunion activities
  • Sporting events
To learn more, visit the Calendar of Events and select "Young Alumni Network Event" in the event type drop down menu.

YAN Benefits
GW offers an array of benefits and services specifically for young alumni:

Get Involved With YAN!
The Young Alumni Network is run by a committee of dedicated recent graduates, and we are always looking for more! If you want to become a member of the YAN Committee e-mail yngalums@gwu.edu.

Stay Connected
The Alumni Online Community allows you to keep in touch, search for classmates, get and give career advice, find services offered by fellow graduates, and update alumni on your life events. Join the Alumni Online Community today!

FacebookLinkedIn
Are you on Facebook or LinkedIn? So are we!
Connect with the Young Alumni Network groups on Facebook to keep up-to-date with the latest events and news! Sign-in to Facebook and search for the group "GW Young Alumni Network" (DC-area), or “GW Young Alumni Network in NYC.”

You can also connect with GW grads and extend your network by joining the GW Alumni Association group on LinkedIn.

Give Back
In addition to attending YAN events and volunteering for your alma mater, we invite you to participate in the GW community by making an annual gift. Gifts to the GW Annual Fund increase the value of your degree and continue the GW experience for generations to come. Gifts may be designated to any area of GW—your school, scholarships, student organizations, athletics, or to the President's Fund for Excellence, which serves the University's most pressing needs.

For alumni who seek greater access to the leaders of the GW community, consider joining the Luther Rice Society. This elite giving society extends invitations to young alumni to join at a level of $250 annually.

Membership benefits include:

  • Invitation to the Luther Rice Presidential reception during Alumni Weekend
  • Private regional receptions that allow you to network with GW community leaders
  • Recognition in GW's Annual Report and Luther Rice Honor Roll
  • Prominent Luther Rice Society lapel pin
  • Annual subscription to GW Magazine

Other Ways to Get Involved
