GW to Host 5 Former Secretaries of State for "The Next President: A World of Challenges"

GW will host five former Secretaries of State – Madeleine K. Albright; James A. Baker, III; Warren Christopher; Henry A. Kissinger; and Colin L. Powell, GWSB MBA '71, for a roundtable discussion on the challenges confronting the next American president, at a public forum entitled “The Next President: A World of Challenges”on Monday, Sept. 15 at 3pm in GW’s Lisner Auditorium. The event will be moderated by Frank Sesno, director of GW's Public Affairs Project and CNN special correspondent, and Christiane Amanpour, CNN chief international correspondent.

This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and tickets are required. A limited number of tickets have been reserved for GW alumni, with a special set for Elliott School alumni. Due to the high demand of this event, tickets are limited to two per person. To reserve tickets, visit the alumni Calendar of Events.

CNN will tape the forum for air at a later date. If you are unable to attend, be on the lookout for the program on CNN.

The event is hosted by GW’s Elliott School of International Affairs, GW’s School of Media and Public Affairs, the Center for a New American Security, Rice University’s James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy, and The City College of New York’s Colin Powell Center for Policy Studies.The roundtable discussion will include questions from the audience.
