Alumni Weekend 2008 is full of events – over 80 events, in fact! Here are some highlights:

• Class Reunion Celebrations!
  Reminisce with your classmates and enjoy food, cocktails and music recalling your time at GW. Registration includes open bar and food. For the classes of 2003, 1998, 1988, 1983, 1960-69, and 1958 and earlier.

• Kerry Washington, BA '98

  Conversation with actress Kerry Washington, BA ’98
  Join Professor Leslie Jacobson for her interview with award-winning actress Kerry Washington about her acting career and her experience at GW.

• F Street Soiree
  Kick off the weekend with fellow alumni as we transform Alumni House into a hip lounge with music, mingling, and signature drinks.

• Back to Thurston!   
  Take a trip down memory lane with student-led tours of your first-year dorm.

• The Kalb Report
  Join legendary CBS News Correspondent and former moderator of Meet The Press Marvin Kalb for a special edition of GW's highly acclaimed Kalb Report series at the National Press Club. This nationally broadcast forum features top guests and hot topics in the news.

• Family Barbeque and Carnival
  Enjoy games, horse and carriage tours of Foggy Bottom, and a BBQ lunch on University Yard. Bring along friends and family for some fun!

• Peter Yarrow

  Peter Yarrow Concert
  Hear Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul, and Mary sing hits such as Blowin' in the Wind, Leaving on a Jet Plane, and Puff the Magic Dragon, and reminisce about the social, cultural, and political force that folk music became in the '60s.

• Screening of The Matador
  Join Nina Seavey, producer/co-director of the film and founder/director of The Documentary Center at GW for a screening of this critically-acclaimed film that was an official selection at SXSW Film Festival.

• Mediterranean Wine Tasting
  Sample wines from Greece and Israel and learn more about wines from these regions.

• Gender and the Presidential Primary: A Panel Discussion
  Join us for the first panel in the nation discussing the Clinton primary campaign featuring major players in that campaign:
  Ann Lewis, senior advisor to Hillary Clinton and founder of Women for Hillary; Jehmu Greene, founder of Rock the Vote; Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones; Paul Begala, CNN correspondent; Allida Black, PhD, Advisor to Women for Hillary and director of The Eleanor Roosevelt Papers Project at GW; and Sean Willenz of Princeton University.
  There will be two panels, one consisting of campaign staff and Clinton surrogates, the other consisting of political historians placing the Clinton campaign in the social and political context of presidential politics since 1960. This is a non-partisan event, focusing on the challenges the first serious woman contender faced as she continued to challenge convention.

• Sustainability and Climate Change Panel Discussion
  A panel featuring Mark Starik, professor of strategic management & public policy, and GW alumni Brian Gurr, GWSB MBA '03, and Rachel Goldstein, GWSB MBA '03.

• Orioles vs. Blue Jays Baseball Game
  Come enjoy a day at the ballpark with fellow alumni and cheer on your favorite team!

• "Sunday Morning Show" election panel and brunch
  Enjoy Sunday brunch and hear predictions from the experts on the race for the White House, featuring Chuck Todd, ATT ’90-’94, NBC News political director; Tad Devine, presidential campaign consultant; Peter Fenn, CEO and founder of one of the nation's premier political and public affairs media firms; and Tony Blankley, former editorial page editor for The Washington Times, co-host of the nationally syndicated public radio program Left, Right & Center, and author of The West's Last Chance: Will We Win the Clash of Civilizations.

  Celebrate the 150th anniversary of Greek life on campus! All fraternity and sorority alumni are invited!
