Join a creative expression of community service and knit warmth and encouragement to America’s orphan and college-bound students
The GW Red Scarf Project is teaming up for the third year with the Orphan Foundation of America in support of the national Red Scarf Project.
OFA needs 7,000 handmade scarves for their Winter Care Packages to foster/orphaned students attending college fall in 2008. Your handcrafted scarf will send the message that someone cares—and what better community to support foster college students than OUR UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY of students, staff, faculty, and alumni.
The GW Red Scarf Project has set a goal of 500 hand-knit or hand-crocheted scarves packaged and shipped by October 17, 2008. Help us reach our goal again!
SCARVES ARE DUE BY MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2008
