President Bush named Gregory Garre, LAW JD ’91, as the next solicitor general of the United States. Garre will succeed General Paul Clement, who he previously worked for as a deputy solicitor general. Before joining the Bush administration, Garre was a clerk to Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist, a Hogan & Hartson’s appellate attorney, and a GW professorial lecturer in law.
