RECEPTION FOR ENGINEERING ALUMNI IN DUBAI
On behalf of the George Washington Alumni Association, School of Engineering and Applied ScienceĀ (SEAS) alumni are cordially invited to join Rachelle Heller, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Mount Vernon Campus Director of the Elizabeth Somers Women's Leadership Program, for a Reception for Alumni in Dubai, hosted by Rama Chakaki, SEAS BS ’90, MS ’97, CEO of The Baraka Group. Dr. Heller will give an update on the University.

Dr. Heller is a professor of computer science in the School of Engineering and Applied Science and co-editor of Computers & Education: An International Journal. Dr. Heller previously served as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Engineering and Applied Science from 1997 to 2002. In addition to her many duties as associate dean, Dr. Heller has been an invited speaker at many national and international conferences over the past twenty years. She served as the key note speaker at the Women's Empowerment Workshop: For Women by Women in Tripoli, Libya in September 2005 and will participate in a student leadership conference entitled Women as Global Leaders in Dubai during her visit.
In addition to this opportunity to hear from Dr. Heller, we hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow SEAS graduates and friends, and extend the lifelong and worldwide community of GW alumni. George M. Jabbour, MBA ’83, PhD ’89, directs The George Washington University Master of Science in Finance program. He is also a professor of finance with expertise in derivatives, financial engineering, and investments. Jabbour is managing director of Global Asset Management, LLC, an asset management and derivative consulting firm, and CEO of Global Finance Associates, Inc., a financial training, consulting, and research company.
Adrienne A. Rulnick, Ed.D, joined The George Washington University as associate vice president for alumni relations and development in August 2007. She brings two decades of higher education experience, including 15 years in alumni relations and development. Prior to coming to GW, she was the executive director of alumni relations and development at New York University, where she oversaw an alumni relations operation that served more than 360,000 graduates.
