Chris Burnham, SMPA BA '00Chris Burnham, SMPA BA ’00, announces the debut of his first graphic novel, Nixon’s Pals, from Image Comics on March 26. Co-created with writer Joe Casey, the book is about a parole officer for super villains. Burnham is a founding officer of Ten Ton Studios and a company member of The House Theatre of Chicago. Daphne L. Clarke, GWSB BBA '96Daphne L. Clarke, GWSB BBA ’96, published Finding Peace Through Faith, a non-fiction, motivational book. She recently returned from Trelawny, Jamaica, where her non-profit organization, El Gibhor Restoration Ministries, built a children’s resource center. Clarke has been tutoring Jamaican children, from the Crawle/Duncans community, where she was born and raised.

Peggy A. Clarke, CCAS BA '79, joined Blank Rome LLP as a partner in the maritime, international trade and public contracts group, bringing more than 20 years of experience to the firm. She will focus her practice on international trade and market access issues. Clarke will be located in Blank Rome’s Washington, D.C. office.

Heath Isaac Einstein, CCAS BA ’98, and Diana (Coben) Einstein, TSPPPA MPA ’04, are proud to announce the birth of a baby girl, Levyn Anabelle. She was born on July 30, 2007 in New York, N.Y., and weighed 6 lb., 6 oz. The three live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and are enjoying their first year together.

Paul Kendrick, CCAS BA ’05, TSPPPA MPA ’07, discussed his upcoming book Douglass and Lincoln: How a Revolutionary Black Leader and a Reluctant Liberator Struggled to End Slavery and Save the Union at the Multicultural Student Services Center on Feb. 12. C-Span 2 filmed the event as part of its Book TV Series.

Michael S. O'Neil, SEAS BS ’98, has joined Woodard & Curran, a 500-person, integrated engineering, science, and operations company, as a project engineer. He has over nine years of engineering experience.

Noah Schambelan, GWSB BBA ’94, MBA ’96, has joined the firm Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP is as an associate. Noah Schambelan practices in Riker Danzig's commercial litigation group. 

Mark E. Schleifstein, CCAS BA '75Mark E. Schleifstein, CCAS BA ’75, an environment reporter at The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, was part of a team of reporters, photographers and graphic artists awarded the 2007 John H. Oakes Prize for Environmental Reporting from Columbia University. The award honors a March 2007 series entitled “Last Chance: The Fight to Save a Disappearing Coast,” about Louisiana’s coastal erosion problems. Karen (Ross) Senich, CCAS BA ’90, was appointed executive director of the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism by Governor M. Jodi Rell in February. Senich has served as the Commission’s acting director since January 2007.

Jonathan G. Vinson, CCAS BA '76Jonathan G. Vinson, CCAS BA ’76, was announced a new partner at Jackson Walker L.L.P. Vinson focuses his practice on all areas of land use, including representation of a wide variety of developers, property owners, and corporate, non-profit and individual clients in zoning, planning, municipal law, and economic development incentives matters.

Quentin Wilson, ESIA BA ’76, was named the new president and CEO of ALL Student Loan, California’s leading nonprofit lender. ALL Student Loan is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of students, families and schools by increasing affordable access to higher education.
