Seniors Raise Money to Establish Spirit Fund

Members of this year’s senior class are creating a Spirit Fund for GW to help buy a victory bell for campus, as well as sponsor other spirit programs and events.

The senior class has been establishing endowments as gifts to GW for the past five years, starting with the Gelman Library Book Fund. Other recent senior class gifts have included a Community Service Fund and a Campus Green Fund.

“Helping with the Senior Class Gift shows a commitment to education and to the University – it demonstrates that you are connected even after you get your diploma,” said senior Chris Rotella, Senior Class Gift Chair.

The Senior Class Gift Committee’s goal is to raise more than $50,000 and to have a participation rate of 25 percent for the class. Alumni are also welcome to donate to the fund by designating a contribution for the senior class gift. For more information, visit the gift’s website.
