The George Washington Alumni Association annually recommends a number of individuals to receive the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award, the highest honor bestowed by the University on its alumni. These awards honor University alumni who have attained notable achievements in their field.

Additionally, the George Washington Alumni Association has implemented the Recent Alumni Achievement Award, which was given for the first time in 2007. This award honors University alumni who have graduated in the last five years and have attained notable achievements in their field. 

The GWAA Awards Committee is accepting open nominations of individuals who merit consideration for these awards. If you would like to nominate someone for either of these awards, click here for a nomination packet. Nominations are due on or before March 13, 2008. The 2008 recipients will be honored at a dinner on September 25, 2008.
