A Presidential Task Force on Campus Safety and Security will review GW’s response management and emergency planning practices. President Steven Knapp formed the task force following the release of reports on the tragedy from both Virginia Tech and a state review panel.

Two groups will make up the task force: a committee on safety and security and a committee on mental health and violence prevention.
