
Joel
Gomez, associate dean for research at the Graduate School of Education
and Human Development, was selected to be vice president of the board
of the Mexican and American Solidarity Foundation. The foundation is
located in Mexico City and was founded by Mexican Minister of Education,
Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de Leon. The Foundation’s board consists of representatives
from the Mexican Ministries of Foreign Relations and Education, as well
as representatives of Mexican American advocacy organizations such as
the National Council of La Raza and the League of Latin American Citizens.
