We are pleased to announce the availability of two new functions in the GW Alumni Online Community–Global Search and Resume Upload. These functions are now available for registered users of the GW Alumni Online Community.
Global Search
As part of our product enhancement strategy to continue to enable
alumni to easily find what they are looking for online, we are pleased
to provide this additional search capability. Consistent with standard
text-based search capabilities on the web, Global Search will enable
you to enter words or phrases to search across multiple areas within
the site. Alumni also will be able to determine if they want to target
their search to specific areas such as online directory, chapter pages,
class notes, uploaded resume content, etc. Once logged in, simply
click on the “Global Search” button in the left hand index column
of the Online Community home page.
Resume Upload
To provide enhanced networking opportunities, alumni are now able
to upload resumes as part of your online directory profile. When an
alumnus’ profile is viewed – a link to the uploaded resume
is included as part of the summary to allow for the uploaded resume
to be viewed. Alumni can manage their resume through updating their
online directory profile. Simply click on Alumni Directory in
the left-hand index column on the Online Community home age, click
on View/Update your Alumni Directory listing and then follow the instructions
under the Resume Bank heading within your profile.

Simply log on to www.alumni.gwu.edu and click on Login/Register in the left-hand index column and follow the instructions to establish a user name and password.
