MEN’S A-10 CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT PACKAGES – ON SALE
A-10 Men’s Basketball Tournament ticket packages are now available for purchase through the Office of Alumni Programs. The George Washington Colonials are leading the Atlantic-10 Conference, and you won’t want to miss these games!

The tournament runs from March 7-10, 2007 at historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The ticket packages include every game of the tournament, and the cost is $140 per package.

After you have purchased your tickets through this site, you will receive a confirmation of your order. Ticket distribution will be determined shortly. Additionally, GW is planning a pre-game reception for Thursday, March 8 – keep your eye on upcoming issues of the Colonial Cable and the Regional Round Up for details.

LECTURE AND RECEPTION WITH GW ART PROFESSORS FOR ALUMNI
Join fellow GW alumni for an artful evening with two professors from GW’s Department of Fine Arts and Art History. During a cocktail reception, David Bjelajac, interim chair of the department of fine arts and professor of art history and human sciences, and Alexander Dumbadze, assistant professor of art history will speak on well-known pieces of art on display throughout New York City.

The lectures are entitled The Oxbow Code: Thomas Cole and the Masonic Hieroglyphs of American Landscape Painting, which features a discussion with Professor David Bjelajac on The Oxbow, an important American landscape painting on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Contemporary Art Now: Current Themes in the New York Art World. In this lecture, Professor Alexander Dumbadze highlights current trends in contemporary art on display in galleries and museums in New York City.

The reception is $15 per person and includes hors d’oeuvres and the two lectures. It is a cash bar. To reserve your space, please register in advance. We hope to see you there!
