James R. Bailey is the Tucker Professor of Leadership and Director of Executive Development at The George Washington University School of Business, and a fellow in the Centre for Management Development, London Business School.

The GW Alumni Association is seeking hosts in the Washington, D.C., area for the spring semester Dinner with Alumni Program. The popular series affords alumni hosts an opportunity to meet with and mentor GW students whose academic and professional interests align with their own, while providing undergraduate students the chance to connect with alumni.

TURNING WOOD INTO ART: A GIFT FROM JANE AND ARTHUR MASON TO THE GELMAN LIBRARY
This exceptional exhibit offers a glimpse into the eclectic world of turned wood. The collection explores various aspects of the wood medium, including material esthetics, process and image, storytelling, design, and tree life.It will be on view in the exhibit cases outside the Luther W. Brady Art Gallery in Gelman Library from October 20 through December 23.

GW ALUMNI NIGHT AT THE SHAKESPEARE THEATRE – SOLD OUT!
Join GW alumni for a night at the theatre. For more than a century The Beaux’ Stratagem, by George Farquhar, was one of the most frequently performed English comedies. The Shakespeare Theatre Company rediscovers this classic with a world-premiere adaptation by Thornton Wilder and Ken Ludwig. Michael Kahn directs this bold critique of class, marriage, and English society.

A pre-show reception will be held at 6 p.m. at 701 Restaurant, where GW Professor Catherine Weidner will speak to the group. Professor Weidner is the program director of the Shakespeare Theatre Company Academy for Classical Acting at The George Washington University.

Volunteers are needed for a resume critique sponsored by the Engineer Alumni Association. This popular event gives current students and alumni a chance to have their resumes critiqued by professionals in the engineering and computer science field.
