PHILADELPHIA ALUMNI HAPPY HOUR
Join fellow GW alumni for a happy hour at McGillin’s Olde Ale House. For nearly 150 years McGillin’s Olde Ale House has been serving thirsty and hungry Philadelphians. Step back into time and enjoy the oldest and most famous tavern in Philadelphia. Few businesses can claim to have survived The Civil War, two World Wars, The Depression and PROHIBITION, but they have!

Wednesday, October 4
5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
McGillin's Olde Ale House
1310 Drury Street
Philadelphia, PA 19107

The happy hour features an open bar with draft beer, house wine, and rail drinks. GW will provide appetizers. There is no charge for this event, but please register so that we can get a headcount. We hope to see you there!

The pub can be a little tricky to find, so visit McGillin’s website for directions.

SAVE THE DATE - KING TUT EXHIBIT AT THE FRANKLIN INSTITUTE
The GW Alumni Association is proud to present Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs. Please join us on Sunday, April 22, 2007, as Eric Cline, chair of the department of classical and Semitic languages and literatures and GW associate professor of classics and anthropology, presents a closer look at King Tut and Egyptian archeology. After the luncheon and lecture, guests will have an opportunity to explore the King Tut exhibit.

Keep an eye on future issues of the Colonial Cable for more details.
