COLONIALS WEEKEND 2006 – REGISTER NOW!

Colonials Weekend 2006 is October 20-22. With its combination of festive and scholarly events, the weekend is a time for reminiscing about the past, enjoying the present, and gaining insight into GW’s future.

Be sure to attend the Alumni Kick-off Party on Friday night and reconnect with fellow alumni. The Kick-off is followed by a performance by Jerry Seinfeld, who will perform in the Smith Center at 10 p.m. Tickets for this show are sold out, but if you have already purchased tickets, they will be available for pick up at the Alumni Kick-off Party until 30 minutes before the show.

The weekend also includes a series of complimentary deans’ breakfasts, lectures from some of your favorite professors in the “Classes Without Quizzes” series, and “Now and Then” tours to revisit campus. In addition, President Trachtenberg will speak at For the Record: A Conversation with Stephen Joel Trachtenberg on Saturday in Betts Theater. For more information, and to register for any of these free events, visit www.alumni.gwu.edu, and click on "Calendar of Events." On Saturday afternoon, bring the kids to Octoberfest, an outdoor family-friendly event held on the Mount Vernon Campus featuring games, food, and activities. Free shuttles will run from the main campus to the Mount Vernon campus all afternoon.

With many engaging activities to choose from, you won’t want to miss Colonials Weekend 2006 – we hope to see you there!
