OPERA IN THE PARK
Gather on the Great Lawn with the New York Regional Alumni Chapter to listen to
the Metropolitan Opera sing Verdi’s La Traviata, one of the most popular operas ever written.

GW will provide snacks – just bring yourself and a friend! There is no charge for this event, but please register here. An e-mail will be sent to all of the registrants with details on where to meet up with the group.

A DAY AT CONEY ISLAND & BROOKLYN CYCLONES GAME
Meet up with New York Regional Alumni Chapter and enjoy a leisurely day at Coney Island, followed by a Brooklyn Cyclones game at Keyspan Park.

The group will meet at 1 p.m. at the Coney Island Sideshow Circus (shows are continuous from 1 p.m. – 11 p.m. on Saturday) at Surf Avenue and West 12th Street. If you cannot make it at that time but want to attend the baseball game, meet the GW contact at 5:30 p.m. at the Keyspan Park entrance to get your tickets. GW has secured a block of tickets for the game at a low group rate of $10, so click here to register for the game.

NEW YORK CARES DAY – VOLUNTEER WITH GW!
Join fellow alumni and help to clean up and renovate New York Public Schools. Be a part of the more than 8,000 New Yorkers who volunteer to help the city’s most needy schools.

Sign up at www.newyorkcaresday.org, under the “George Washington University NY Alumni and Friends” team. Team captain Jen Battista, BA ’98, will e-mail details, including a meeting place, to all of the registrants closer to the event. Hope to see you there!
