Stephen Joel Trachtenberg received the D.C. Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year award in October. The award is presented to an individual who possesses excellent leadership skills and a proven record of professional accomplishments, and has demonstrated exceptional skill in managing a successful enterprise.

“I’m no businessman. I’m an educator,” said Trachtenberg, immediate past chair of the D.C. Chamber of Commerce. “That said, at GW, we understand, appreciate, and – we hope – continue to be business-like in our operation and in our efforts to enhance our community, helping Washington, D.C., become an even better place to live, work, and learn.”
