The George Washington University is currently seeking a director of Medical Center alumni programs. The director is responsible for leading the Medical Center’s alumni relations and reunion programs, including the School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the School of Public Health and Health Services.
Successful candidates will manage national alumni networks; manage the Medical Center’s autonomous alumni associations; plan and execute annual reunion programs including class gifts; plan and manage alumni activities and communications; cultivate and solicit a portfolio of mid-range gift prospects; and manage the annual giving program for the Medical Center.
The successful candidate will maintain a thorough understanding of the priorities and projects within the Medical Center and will interact with faculty and Medical Center administration to determine priorities for alumni and philanthropic endeavors. The ability to manage and motivate high-end volunteers and donors is essential. Considerable initiative, independence, originality, and responsibility for developing new methods and techniques are must-have qualities for this position.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of
six years of alumni relations, development, and/or association management
experience is necessary. Experience at an institution of higher education
