The Interfraternity Council announced in early October
that Sigma Chi will be invited to create a chapter on campus, increasing
the number of on-campus fraternities 13. GW advertised the opening for
an additional fraternity to more than 30 national fraternities, and Sigma
Chi was one of five chosen to make presentations to the University. According
to the fraternity’s website, Sigma Chi’s core values are friendship,
justice, and learning, with a mission to develop values-based leaders
committed to the betterment of character, campus, and community. Sigma
Chi has not been on the GW campus since 1998. To learn more about Sigma
Chi’s return, click here.
