The defending Atlantic 10 champion, the GW men’s
Colonials, announce the 2005-2006 basketball schedule, beginning on November
23, which includes at least three nationally televised games, and a minimum
of three regionally televised appearances. The Colonials will play three
games against opponents from the 2005 NCAA Tournament field including
Charlotte and North Carolina State. The Colonials will also play five
games against opponents from the 2005 NIT (National Invitation Tournament)
field, including Boston University, Maryland, Temple, and Saint Joseph’s.

The GW women’s basketball season begins on Friday, November 18,
when Virginia comes to the Charles E. Smith Athletic Center. The Colonials
will play a minimum of 14 games against teams that earned bids to the
postseason last year. Opponents who made the 2005 NCAA Tournament include
Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina State, Purdue, Richmond, and Temple.

Season tickets are only $49 (end zone tickets) for alumni for a total
of 16 men’s home games. If you purchase a men’s season ticket
package you may purchase a women’s season ticket package (16 home
games) including face-offs against Tennessee and Virginia for an additional
